Looking for the perfect colour in the right finish? At Scissett DIY, we use a Crown Colour Mixing Machine to create bespoke paint blends tailored to your project. Whether you’re matching a sample or choosing from trusted colour ranges like Crown, Macpherson, Lick, or Farrow & Ball, we’ve got you covered.

How the Mixing Process Works, in 3 Steps:

1. Colour Selection :

You can choose from thousands of colours in our digital catalogue, or bring in a sample—fabric, wallpaper, or even a photo—and we’ll help you find the closest match. The machine uses a precise formula to recreate colours with accuracy.

2 . Base & Finish Choice :

Once your colour is selected, we choose the appropriate base paint and finish. The base affects how the colour appears, while the finish determines the look and durability.
Here are the main finishes we offer:

3 . Mixing & Shaking :

The Crown machine dispenses exact amounts of colourant into the selected base. Once mixed, the tin is placed into a mechanical shaker to ensure the paint is fully blended and ready to use.
